The Harbin Fire and Rescue Detachment of Heilongjiang Province conducts a practical drill for emergency rescue in major disasters.

To actively promote the construction of a medical support system for the new era of fire rescue teams, effectively handle the treatment of injuries and illnesses of personnel at major disaster accident sites, and ensure the safety of rescuers and trapped people, on June 15, the Harbin Fire Rescue Detachment of Heilongjiang Province organized a practical drill on emergency rescue for major disaster accidents.

The Party Committee of the detachment has always attached great importance to medical support work, earnestly implemented the deployment requirements of Party committees at all levels, and adhered to the principle of "people first, life first", focusing on the goal of "transformation, guarantee, and competition", actively exploring a new model of "medical and fire co-construction", establishing strategic partnerships with the Heilongjiang Provincial Red Cross Society and the Heilongjiang Provincial Red Cross Hospital (Forestry General Hospital), forming a closed-loop of "high-quality training, comprehensive services, joint training and combat, and effective cooperation", and issuing the "Harbin Fire Rescue Detachment Medical Management Regulations (Trial)" and "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening the Medical Support and Emergency Rescue Team Construction of the Harbin Fire Rescue Detachment", laying a solid foundation for the cultivation of professional emergency rescue personnel and the improvement of practical abilities.

In the drill, simulating a geological flood disaster in a certain place as the background, causing multiple building collapses and vehicle damage, and a large number of people trapped. After the disaster occurred, the detachment promptly activated the "Disaster Accident Emergency Rescue Plan", while mobilizing sufficient rescue forces, the detachment's emergency rescue professional team, the Provincial Red Cross Forestry General Hospital, and the municipal Red Cross disaster relief center and other rescue forces were dispatched.

Through this drill, the practical operational capabilities of the detachment's emergency rescue personnel were effectively tested, the mechanism and model of medical and fire joint operations were solidified, the gap in medical support for the province's fire rescue teams was filled, and strong support was provided for the team's future successful completion of various major disaster accident rescue missions. Next, the Harbin Fire Rescue Detachment will continue to work hard and take practical measures in medical support work, strengthen talent cultivation, improve emergency plans, equip equipment, and improve joint mechanisms, aiming at the needs of "all types of disasters and large-scale emergencies", striving to explore new paths for medical support for fire rescue teams in the new era, and making more outstanding achievements to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Party.
